Sydney Water is building the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC) in Kemps Creek and associated pipelines to support population and economic growth in Western Sydney. John Holland Group (JHG) (Civil Engineering Contractors) is proposing to undertake associated pipelines work.

To facilitate the construction of the new pipeline works, JHG (Civil Engineering Contractors) is seeking approval to implement lane closures and installation of temporary No-Parking signs at the following locations from late March 2024 for up-to six weeks:

  • Northbound lane of Monash Place; and
  • Montgomery Road (between Elizabeth Drive and Sindel Close).

The installation of new pipelines on Monash Place and Montgomery Road are expected to commence in late March 2024 and will take approximately 6 weeks to complete. The standard working hours is:

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm,
  • Saturday, 8am to 1pm.

While work is being carried out, the above sections of Montgomery Road and Monash Place will be closed to through traffic. Detours will be in place and alternative routes will be clearly signposted. The streets will be still accessible for local traffic, under traffic control measures assisted by TfNSW accredited Traffic Controllers for 24 hours every day till the duration of the works.

There will be loss of approximately 17 on-street car parking spaces on Montgomery Road and 16 parking spaces on Monash Place. [SK1] [GG2] [GG3] [SK4] , which will be assisted by proposed No-Stopping signs as shown in the attached plan.
