Fairfield City Council has vacancies for enthusiastic and passionate Educators wishing to undertake a Certificate III or Diploma traineeship.

THE POSITION: Fairfield City Council has a fantastic opportunity for you to work with experienced professionals while gaining or increasing your qualification. The role is for a period of up to 18 months for a Certificate III traineeship and 24 months for a Diploma traineeship. You will combine work and training opportunities to gain a Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care through TAFE NSW. The commencing salary is in accordance with the Local Government State Award.
Role Expectations
- Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and drive to succeed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to study and course completion.
- Must be able to work rosters between 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
- Must be a permanent resident and over 18 years of age (legislative requirement).
- Have current driver’s licence, or have access to own transport.
- Hold a current Working with Children Check Number.
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Temporary positions are for periods of up to 18 months for a Certificate III and up to 24 months for a Diploma. 76 hours per fortnight.
- This positions are paid under the Traineeship Wage Rates, salary range is $803.30 per week.
