Still time to Have Your Say

Fairfield City could be facing some of the most significant changes in our history and there is still time to have your say on our future.

This is the most significant reform in New South Wales Local Government history.

The State Government has asked Council to comment on the option of amalgamating Fairfield and Liverpool councils, as part of the reform package.

Your views are important to us and will form part of Council's submission.

So far, the responses overwhelmingly support Fairfield City standing alone, but we want more views. The survey closing date has been extended until Friday 10 April.

Information is available at www.ourfairfieldcity.com.au, Fairfield City Council's Administration Centre, childcare centres, libraries, leisure centres and the Museum and Gallery.

Happy Easter to all

Council and I send our sincerest well wishes to all families and I hope you enjoy this significant celebration.

The Easter Bunny is attending a number of family-friendly events. It will be in Cabramatta town centre today 10am – 1pm handing out Easter eggs.

On Thursday 2 April, the Easter Bunny will also hand out Easter eggs in Canley Vale 10am – 12pm and Canley Heights 1pm – 3pm. Alice in Wonderland joins the Easter Bunny in Fairfield town centre 11am – 1pm.

Term One ends

The Easter long weekend also marks the start of the school holidays.

Over the break I ask drivers to take care and stay alert as children will still be out and about.

And don't forget, daylight savings ends this long weekend. Be sure to turn your clocks back one hour at 3am on Sunday.
