Have your say on Fairfield Place

I have always been passionate about making sure our community has access to high quality public facilities and open spaces.

With backyards getting smaller, it's more important than ever for Council to provide residents with a variety of recreational areas and opportunities to stay fit and healthy and spend time with their families.

Council is currently reviewing its community facilities and open space areas in Fairfield Place to ensure we are meeting the needs of our growing and changing community. Fairfield Place includes the suburbs of Carramar, Fairfield, Fairfield East, Fairfield Heights, Fairfield West, Old Guildford, Villawood and Yennora.

Open space is important to ensure we have a healthy, active community. I love seeing families coming together to kick a ball around, ride bikes and relax with a book in the shade. Parks are central in maintaining healthy activity and social development in our children.

As more people move to Fairfield City and pressure to provide more housing grows, now is the time to identify what the current and future community needs of Fairfield Place are, and take steps to enable the delivery of appropriate, adequate and quality social infrastructure and open space.

We want to hear from you about what community facilities and open space areas you think we need in Fairfield Place. Come and see our staff at one of our pop up offices at Fairfield Heights Shops on 30 October until 1pm, Villawood Shops on 31 October until 1pm, Fairfield Station on 1 November until 5pm and Fairfield Park on 4 November until 3pm.

This is our City and we want to know what you think. Visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/fairfieldplace to find out how you can have your say on the future of Fairfield Place by completing the online survey by 11 November.
