FLAME Festival this Friday
Published on 04 April 2018
Fairfield Live Art, Music and Eats (FLAME) Festival is a new free Council initiative that will provide great live entertainment in Fairfield city centre for locals and visitors for one amazing evening.
I'm pleased Council continues to support many outstanding community events, while also activating our City centre and offering musicians from Western Sydney opportunities to perform locally.
The festival combines great music, entertainment, food and culture, celebrating the talent and diversity of the Fairfield City and wider Western Sydney communities. I am sure people will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Plenty of musicians will perform contemporary pop, rock, hip-hop and other genres, but many performers will reflect our City's proud cultural diversity. We have Slavic and Roma folk music, traditional Vietnamese and Iraqi instruments and a fusion of Asian and Mexican sounds added to the mix.
Musicians will be spread across several partner venues in Fairfield city centre including restaurants, a bookshop, bowling alley and other locations.
There will also be great international food choices including authentic and delicious Middle Eastern, Latin American, South East Asian and other international cuisine from Fairfield's many eateries.
I encourage everyone to come along and have a great night out in Fairfield with friends and family.
FLAME Festival will be held on Friday 6 April, 5pm to 9pm, across several venues in Fairfield city centre.
