Celebrating Our Youth: Bring It On! Festival Returns
Published on 13 March 2025
It’s that time of year again! I’m excited to announce that Council’s biggest NSW Youth Week event Bring It On! is fast approaching, and it's shaping up to be the biggest celebration of our young people yet!
Organised by young people for young people, the free event is truly one of a kind, and I’m proud that for more than two decades Council has provided the stage for the region’s young people to put their skills, passions, and strengths on show through art, music, sport and dance – all in a fun and safe environment.
This year’s festival promises a full program of live and local entertainment, games and amusement rides, food trucks, market stalls, workshops, an after-dark dance party and more. From electrifying performances to hands-on activities, the festival will be a non-stop showcase of everything that makes our youth so remarkable. It’s a day to cheer them on, connect, and get inspired by the future leaders, artists, and innovators of tomorrow.
I recently caught up with some members of the Bring It On! Youth working party and the Fairfield Youth Advisory Committee who have been busy preparing for the festival behind the scenes. It’s great to see so many young people volunteering their time to advocate for our City’s youth, while at the same time developing leadership and team building skills. I’m especially proud that Council provides a platform for our youth to be a positive voice for young people – to let us know what matters to them most and encourage them to participate in community life.
They have assured me that this year’s Bring It On! Youth Festival is tipped to be bigger than ever, so mark your calendars for Sunday 13 April from 2-9pm, as this is one you don’t want to miss.
Be sure to follow the #BringItOnfest crew on Instagram or head to our website for the latest on the festival and I look forward to seeing you at the show!
