Capture Fairfield and win!
Published on 06 April 2023
Fairfield City has environmental beauty, interesting people and a colourful and rich culture.
Council’s Capture Fairfield Visual Arts & Photography Competition is back and entries are now open with a prize pool of more than $8,000 up for grabs. We are on the look out for the best artistic interpretations of what makes up this fantastic city.
Submissions can include photography, 2D or 3D art, sculpture, collage or video.
The competition was established in 2017 and offers residents of all ages a chance to share in more than $8,000 of prizes across five categories. They are:
- Primary school aged student
- Primary school Waste to Art
- Secondary school aged student
- Adult
- Waste to Art – Repurposed Suburb Banners
This year we are building on Waste to Art category. You may have seen the colourful banners around our City promoting our wonderful events and programs. Waste to Art – Repurposed Suburb Banners is a category to give our city banners a new life. The idea is to upcycle old banners rather than have them going into landfill.
This new category is an example of how Council is being more environmentally responsible by re-imagining waste into everyday products.
I look forward to seeing the talent of our community and the creative works of reused and upcycled banners.
Submissions close midnight 25 June 2023 and the successful winners will be announced 26 July 2023.
