Cabramatta Moon Festival

Our city is a very diverse place and Council hosts a variety of festivals to celebrate our diversity from Illuminate at New Year, to Culinary Carnivale.

This weekend we will host the biggest South East Asian event in Sydney - the Cabramatta Moon Festival.

Not only is the Moon Festival a great opportunity to celebrate our diverse community, it is a real boost for our local businesses, creates jobs and attracts tourism while showcasing what makes Fairfield City a great place to live and visit.

From 9am to 8pm this Sunday, the Cabramatta CBD will come alive with a variety of fun, family friendly activities and delicious food.

Vietnamese pop sensation Minh Tuyet, and popular children's cartoon heroes PJ Masks, will be performing – and MasterChef 2018 contestants Jenny Lam and Lisa Diep will delight the crowds by cooking their favourite meals.

Crowd favourite activities will return, including the prawn peeling competition, children's chopstick challenge and noodle and moon cake eating competitions. There will also be plenty of fun family rides and games.

Also this weekend will be the reopening of Aquatopia for the season on Saturday. This year the Aquatopia waterpark will be bigger and better with new attractions – racing slides and the Fishpipe – to be installed this season.

Aquatopia has been a remarkable success, providing affordable family fun for more than 60,000 visitors last season.

I encourage mums, dads and kids to all have a go on the racing slides and get inside the Fishpipe, if you dare! 

Aquatopia will be open every weekend until the end of April 2019, and every day of the school holidays.
