Bradbury Wharf

Lansvale is home to one of the more unique parts of our City, sitting on the beautiful Chipping Norton Lakes. Now residents and visitors will have easier and safer access to the water with the $200,000 upgrade to Bradbury Wharf.

The project was a partnership between Council and Roads and Maritime Services under the NSW Boating Now program.

Originally made from timber, the new pontoon is a far more durable structure better suited to the marine environment.

The man-made Lakes are part of the Georges River system and are popular for many recreational activities, such as boating and fishing.

Council works hard to ensure we maintain the area. Through the GRCCC Riverkeeper program we collected more than 23 tonnes of rubbish in the 2017/2018 year.

Council has an ongoing commitment to delivering projects that restore the health of the City's catchment and waterways and I urge residents to dispose of rubbish thoughtfully.

I look forward to partnering with other councils surrounding Chipping Norton Lakes and the NSW State Government to continue to improve the condition of the Lakes.
