2022 Mayor's Youth Achievement Awards winners announced

Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Mayor’s Youth Achievement Awards announced last week at a special presentation.

Now in its fourth year, the program acknowledges, recognises and celebrates the achievements of our young people in eleven areas including community spirit, creating change, and calm in crisis categories.

It brings us great pleasure each year to recognise local young people making a difference through their demonstration of leadership, passion, commitment and enthusiasm.

By volunteering and leading significant projects in our community, young people are not only making a positive contribution, they are building essential skills and attributes for life.

Our young people are tomorrow’s leaders and innovators. It’s important we shine the light on their achievements to encourage them and show them that we are behind them.

They continue to achieve goals beyond their years and make us proud. I encourage each and every one of them to continue in their selected fields and am sure they will achieve great things.
