Aquatopia delivered a huge splash of fun on Australia Day with the opening of Sydney's tallest high-speed water slide tower.

The new 20-metre tall slide tower features a 3-Lane Racing Ride - perfect for challenging your friends; a high-speed free-fall slide; and the Rocket Drop Slide - which drops brave riders via a trap door to a fast loop through a transparent tube.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said the new slides further cement Aquatopia's reputation as Western Sydney's premier affordable family water park.

"These new slides definitely get the heart racing. It is the best possible fun you can have while staying cool this summer," Mayor Carbone said.

"We want Aquatopia to be fun for the whole family, and these new slides definitely offer a fun time for the older kids, adults and thrill seekers in the family.

"The Racing Slides add a competitive element to the fun and are perfect for friends and family who like to challenge each other.

"The free-fall slide and Rocket Drop are definitely not for the faint of heart."

The new slides join an already stellar line up of attractions at Aquatopia, including three giant slides, an adventure aqua tower with 79 unique and fun elements, Wave Rider surf ride, the Fishpipe, and toddler play area.

Aquatopia welcomed more than 60,000 visitors in the 2017/18 swimming season and is on track for its most successful year yet.

Aquatopia will be open every weekend throughout February, March and April, and the April school holidays.

Visitors can now buy tickets online. This means families can avoid queues and ensure entry on their chosen day.

Tickets can be purchased from www.fairfieldcityleisurecentres.com.au.
