Fairfield City Council is putting on FREE bus services going to Manly Beach and back on Sunday 5 January 2025.
Residents can ride the wave all the way to Sydney’s iconic surf beach of Manly, without worrying about tolls, petrol, or parking.
Bus trips details
Pick up location: Deerbush Park (Fairfield Showground)
Address: 443 Smithfield Road, Prairewood
Board the bus: 8:30am
Bus departs: 9:00am sharp
Enjoy the beach and surrounding attractions for 6 hours
Return bus: 4:15pm (pick up location North Steyne, Manly - opposite the Manly Pacific Hotel Sydney)
Arrive at Fairfield Showground: approximately 6:00pm
Free parking available
Deerbush Park has free all day parking available to all beach goers.
What to bring
Grab your beach essentials - cossies, towel, hat, water, food and don't forget your sunscreen.
Please be advised
- Bus Trip includes a return bus shuttle back to Fairfield Showground at the end of the day.
- All attendees must be Fairfield LGA residents. Proof of address will be required prior to boarding the bus.
- Tickets will go to families that have not booked a trip yet.
- Trips are free, but registration is essential. Maximum booking 6 people. Bookings will remain open till 8am of the day of travel but may book out before. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
- Wheelchairs & walkers cannot be stored in the bus but can be placed in the storage compartment under the bus.
- If you can't come on the bus and need to cancel your booking, please tell us as soon as possible so another family can come. To cancel, email scd@fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au
- Tickets must be presented to board the bus on the day. No ticket no beach.
- If you do not return to the bus at the agreed time for departure, you will be required to make your own way to your destination. Council will not provide compensation to you for transportation or any associated costs.
- Council does not provide any supervision throughout the trip. All people under 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Inappropriate behaviour on the bus will not be tolerated. The bus operator may use its sole discretion in determining the applicable action taken against the offenders.
- Council will not incur any responsibility or liability whatsoever for injury sustained to persons or damaged / loss to property through the trip.
- If we must cancel, an SMS message will be sent the day before.
