Time Commitment: Once a week, Monday to Friday, ongoing, flexible
Location: Bonnyrigg, Cabramatta, Mt Pritchard, Fairfield, Guildford - these may change, and we may add more school locations in the Fairfield City Council area.

Description of Organisation: Story Factory is a not-for-profit creative writing centre for young people in under-resourced communities across Sydney and NSW. We build writing skills, confidence and creativity. 

Position Description:

  • Supporting students to write stories of all kinds which we publish.
  • In-school workshops - run in and around Sydney and Western Sydney, Monday to Friday between 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Online after school workshops- on Zoom, Monday to Thursday from 3pm - 5:30pm
  • We are looking for volunteers who are reliable, enthusiastic, encouraging and a good listener. Volunteers just need conversational level English and able to engage, ask questions and listen to students. We will cover everything during training.
