THE POSITION: A full-time position (35 hours per week), fixed term for up to 2 years is available within the City Delivery Directorate. The role of Graduate Engineer (Traffic) is a development role for a recent graduate.
Work involves planning, design, consultation, assessment and reporting on traffic and transport related enquiries, road safety, development and NHVR route application assessment.
ESSENTIAL: Degree or completing the final year in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and experience with office and engineering software. New South Wales Drivers Licence Class 1C (Motor Car).
Applicants must address the following selection criteria when applying:
- Degree or completing the final year of Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Verbal, written communication and research skills for technical reports, general correspondence, and grant applications
- Use of Microsoft Office applications and any specialised engineering software packages
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering standards, guidelines and practices (eg. TfNSW Guidelines and Technical Directions, Austroads Guidelines, Australian Standards).
- The ability to organise and prioritise work whilst adapting to competing demands.

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Fixed Term position up to 2 years position, 70 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 4, salary range is $75,390 p.a. with progression to $83,213 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, plus 11.5% Superannuation
- Flexible working hours are available
