What's happening?
Council has developed concept plans for a new Community and Events Centre at Fairfield Showground, part-funded by a $28 million contribution from the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program. The complex will cater for both large and intimate sized events such as conferences and weddings, as well as indoor sports like futsal, basketball, volleyball and gymnastics.
What's new?
Proposed plans include:
- Exhibition hall with seating capacity for 4,000 and large stage suitable for music performances
- Multipurposed indoor sporting complex
- Function rooms on the mezzanine level
- Large foyer suitable for cocktail events
- Open-air courtyard and covered forecourt for smaller events.
