Services for all your festive waste disposal needs Published on 05 December 2024 As we approach the festive season, our waste services are ramping up to help you clear the clutter and get ready for celebrations.We will again be doing an extra recycling bin collection from 23 December 2024 to 3 January 2025 for all your Christmas wrapping paper, food packaging, glass and boxes. Enjoy two additional free kerbside pick-ups per year Published on 01 August 2024 We all want to live, work and play in a clean City - a City we can continue to be proud of as a place to raise a family and enjoy our environment. I’m pleased to let you know that from 1 September, 2024 you will be able to book in an extra two free kerbside pick ups per year, as part of a 12-month trial. Every household will get four free collections in the financial year at no extra cost.
Upgrading smaller playgrounds near you Published on 18 July 2024 One of my main priorities as Mayor has been to ensure local families can get out in the sunshine, get active and get healthy together. We have been working hard on some great new major recreational projects such as Avenel Fitness Park and Endeavour Park sports park for residents to use. The work has been prioritised so the playgrounds most in need are upgraded first.

A promising future for Fairfield Hospital Published on 20 June 2024 Council spent the last few years working hard petitioning the NSW Government to provide necessary and well-overdue upgrades to Fairfield Hospital. Following an 11,000-strong signed petition by the community plus several meetings, I’m pleased to announce that this significant move set to redefine healthcare in our City has been approved by the NSW Government.
