This weekend, our popular Culinary Carnival makes a big step towards becoming an event that truly captures our City's colour and diversity, and everyone is invited.

From 11am to 4pm this Saturday, Spencer Street in Fairfield City Centre will be transformed into a street party, with food, music and dancing from all around the world.

What makes our City such a unique and special place is the wonderful diversity of its residents and their passion for sharing and celebrating their culture with neighbours, friends and family.

This can be done through dance and music, or at the dinner table with a cooked meal.

Fairfield City prides itself on hosting fun, inclusive, affordable family events, and Culinary Carnival is no exception.

There will be food stalls, eating competitions, cooking demonstrations and plenty of activities for the children. There really will be something for everyone at Culinary Carnival.

I'm also excited to announce that popular 2017 MasterChef contestant Bryan Zhu will hold a special cooking demonstration. I'm looking forward to seeing what delicious dishes he will whip up.

So make sure you bring your friends and family, and most importantly your appetite, to Culinary Carnival in Spencer Street, Fairfield this Saturday. I look forward to seeing you there.
