Peace of mind for parents
Published on 20 June 2018
It's a constant juggle for parents of young children. With the rising cost of living, more parents need to work or study than ever before, and they need to know their children's care and education needs are being met.
That's why I'm so proud that Fairfield City Council is the largest not-for-profit provider of childcare centres and services in the City, with services starting from just $10 day.
But it's more than child minding – our centres receive some of the highest ratings against the national quality standards in relation to areas such as education programs and practice, health and safety, staffing arrangements, relationships with children and partnerships with families and communities.
Our centres are affordable and high quality – exactly the reassurance you as parents need while you pursue your careers and financial goals and create a better future for your families.
We have more than 3,000 places at our centres each week, including:
- 14 early learning centres – from $10 a day, with a new centre planned for Bossley Park
- 10 supported playgroups
- Family Day Care scheme, with almost 60 educators providing care and education in their homes
- Fairstart Early Intervention – Council is a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) providing support such as speech pathology and occupational therapy for children 0-12 years
