Join the Lunar New Year family fun

Published on 30 January 2025

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at this year’s Cabramatta Lunar New Year! The event brings together thousands of people from all over Sydney to celebrate our rich diversity and culture, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Welcome in the Year of the Snake at one of our most beloved cultural celebrations, right in the heart of Cabramatta on Saturday 15 February 2025 from 11am to 9pm.
Families are in for a spectacular day packed with lion dancing, a thrilling snake treasure hunt, exciting competitions, face painting, arts and crafts, balloon animals, amusement rides, mouth-watering food, dazzling fireworks, and so much more.
Kick off the Year of the Snake with the best possible good fortune, happiness, good health, and success by visiting Cabramatta and celebrating its vibrant community at Council’s iconic Lunar New Year festival.

I’m expecting significant crowds from across Sydney again this year, with many families eager to enjoy this colourful festival, savour the delicious food, and immerse themselves in the fun and cultural feast that makes Cabramatta and Fairfield City so special.
This event has been on Council’s calendar for more than 25 years and one I look forward to every year. Please join me in ushering in the Year of the Snake.

Council is committed to continuing to bring quality entertainment and events to our City for our whole community to enjoy.
