At last month's Council meeting, I presented a Mayoral Minute asking Council to support my vision of transforming our wildly-successful Aquatopia into Icetopia for the July school holidays.

Icetopia will be a winter wonderland complete with 250 square metre outdoor ice-skating rink and the winter magic of lights and entertainment.

Icetopia will be the perfect destination for families to enjoy the warming atmosphere which will be filled with fun and laughter.

It is another way Council is working to make Fairfield City a great place to raise a family.

Many in our community want an alpine winter, but don't want to deal with crowded ski fields, so this year, families will be able to capture the season right here in Fairfield City and create life-long magical winter memories without the cost.

Icetopia will bring families together to get active and help make our City one of the best places for families to live and visit.

Suitable for the young and young at heart, Icetopia will be open from 11am to 8.30pm daily, with 6 x 60 minute skating sessions available every day of the school holidays. For those a little less steady on their skates, themed skate aids will be available for beginners.

Tickets, including skate hire, will be affordable for families. Sessions numbers will be limited to a maximum of 100 people. Refreshments will also be available for purchase.

It will be great fun for the whole family, day and night, making it the perfect destination for an action-packed school holiday.
