Hop into Easter fun in Fairfield City
Published on 10 April 2025
Council is spreading the joy of Easter with an exciting line up of events and activities happening around the City for families to enjoy.
From special Easter Bunny visits at city centres to crafty library activities, there’s something for everyone.
I’m excited to announce the popular Fairfield Easter Fair returns to Fairfield Showground from Thursday 17 April to Tuesday 22 April this year, making it easier for families to get out and enjoy the fun of the Sydney Royal Easter Show without the travel and high prices. The Fair boasts a jam-packed program including motorbike shows, rides, fireworks, animal encounters, pig racing, and more.
Entry is just $2 and you can pre-purchase unlimited ride wristbands (valid 18 April – 22 April) on Fairfield Easter Fair’s Facebook page for a discounted price of $30 (or $35 at the gate). Parking is free and the ‘Kids Big Day Out’ on Thursday 17 April will see the first 500 kids arriving at the Fair receive a free plush toy.
Council is proud to be a major sponsor of the Fairfield Easter Fair, and will always support initiatives that bring fun, affordable experiences to our City.
Additionally, the Easter Bunny will be bringing sweet treats to Fairfield City streets at Fairfield Heights Town Centre on 16 April, 12.30-3.30pm and Canley Heights Town Centre on 17 April, 3-5pm.
Our popular Easter egg hunt at Bareena Park, Canley Vale will take place on 17 April from 3-6pm, and the Thomas Ware Plaza Easter Fun celebration in Fairfield City Centre featuring a petting zoo, face painting, balloon art, DJ, and giveaways is also on from 3-6pm on 17 April.
We are also brightening up the streets for Easter once again, with lights and decorations at 15 locations, and colourful banners across the City.
I wish everyone a joyful Easter – we hope to see you celebrating with your loved ones.
