Christmas in Fairfield City
Published on 03 December 2019
One thing that is very clear at this time of year is that Fairfield City residents are passionate about Christmas.
Council is again proud to be a part of this festive spirit, with something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Our famous Christmas lights at roundabouts have been switched on, bringing joy and festive cheer to residents and evening commuters alike. Keep an eye out as you drive around our City! This is an initiative that is unique to our City.
From 5 December there will be a variety of exciting family events around our City, starting with the lighting of the Christmas tree in Epoch Plaza, Fairfield City Centre on Thursday. Join us from 6.30pm for carols, petting zoo and a visit from Santa and his North Pole friends.
On Friday will be the popular Children’s Christmas Party at Canley Heights Town Square. There will be rides, carnival games and food, and photos with Santa from 3pm to 7pm.
On Saturday, 7 December there will be a family Christmas carols sing-along at Fairfield City Museum & Gallery from 6pm, with craft, games and a visit from Santa.
This year, for the first time we will hold the Fairfield City Christmas Lights Competition.
Deck your house in lights and decorations and bring an extra dose of Christmas cheer to your street for local families to enjoy, and you could win a Christmas hamper.
You can nominate your own house or your favourite house from your neighbourhood for them to win a hamper.
I hope to see you at one of our events and your house up in lights this Christmas.
