Getting to Cabramatta

This Event will be accessible by train, bus and car. It is highly recommended to plan your trip in advance as there will be road closures in place during the Cabramatta Moon Festival.

With many parking restrictions and major roads closed, we encourage you to leave your car at home and catch public transport or park in Council's car parks in Canley Heights and Canley Vale and catch the free shuttle bus into Cabramatta.

 


Exclusion zones and road closures

Event road closures will be effective during Cabramatta Moon Festival from Midnight 12am Friday 6 September until Midday 12pm Monday 9 September 2024. 

With many parking restrictions and major roads closed, we encourage you to leave your car at home and catch public transport or park in Council's car parks in Canley Heights and Canley Vale and catch the free shuttle bus into Cabramatta.

Major roads closed:

  • Arthur Street Car Park, and Denton Lane.
  • John Street, Cabramatta Road West, Park Road, Arthur Street and Hughes Street Car Park.
  • Dutton Lane and Railway Parade.

Getting Here

Train

Plenty of train services will run on the day of the Cabramatta Moon Festival to get you there and home again. Visit Transport NSW for all details you need to plan your trip.

Cabramatta Train Station is accessible:

  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
  • T3 Bankstown Line
  • T5 Cumberland Line

Bus

Bus interchange and Taxi Rank will be temporarily relocated to Railway Parade between McBurney Road and Hughes Street - adjacent to Woolworths and Whitlam Library.

Shuttle Bus

Fairfield City Council’s Cabramatta Moon Festival will have a FREE shuttle bus service operating on Sunday from 9am to 9pm. You can park your car in Canley Vale or Canley Heights and look out for the Cabramatta Moon Festival Free Shuttle Bus service to hop on and off and beat the crowd.

Car Parking

Please note that there will be limited parking available in car parks and street parking around Cabramatta.

It is highly recommended to catch public transport OR you can park your car in Canley Vale or Canley Heights and look out for the Cabramatta Moon Festival Free Shuttle Bus service.

It is also recommended to park at Warwick Farm Commuter Car Park and catching the train to Cabramatta Station, which is a 3-minute train ride for reference.

Bike Parking

The Cabramatta Moon Festival can be reached by bike, there are bike racks located in Dutton Plaza Car Parknear the Dutton Lane East entrance and on Railway Parade.
