Sustainable Resource Centre (SRC)
The Sustainable Resource Centre (SRC) is a construction and demolition (C&D) recycling facility operating under Enviromental Protection Licence number 5713. SRC recycles C&D waste such as concrete and brick, producing a number of products including 10mm and 20mm aggregates, bedding sand and roadbase (DGB).
All processed recycled products have been tested and are supplied compliant to EPA Resource Recovery Exemptions and Orders with Geo-Technical test reports are available upon request.
We are open to the public and accept small customers with box trailers (with hand unloads only occurring Saturdays due to safety considerations), to large civil construction companies and councils.

We also sell cement stabilised products of various percentages through our Pug Mill. All requests for orders must be submitted one business day prior via email to pugmill@fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au

Tipping Fees
Tipping fees range from $7.50 a tonne to $14.50 a tonne depending on the materials.
Hand unload fees are $33.00 a tonne with minimum charge of $33.00.

Environmental Compliance
Sustainable Resource Centre operates under Environmental Licence (No. 5713). It includes licence operations conditions relating to pollution prevention and monitoring, cleaner production through recycling and reuse and the implementation of best practice.

Under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, Part 5.7A, Sustainable Resource Centre are required to have a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP)(PDF, 2MB) in place that meets the requirements of the Protection of Environment Operations (General) Amendment Regulation 2021.
Pollution Monitoring Data
Sustainable Resource Centre has five dust, three ground water and two surface water gauges situated within the boundary of the site. The location of all gauges are located on this Pollution Monitoring Site Map(PDF, 3MB).
Pollution Monitoring is conducted by an accredited NATA Laboratory. Monthly dust and quarterly ground and surface water results as well as annual history of monitoring data is published below.
