Our stories - Fairfield’s daily life during COVID-19

Pink/orange coloured banner with a text that reads OUR STORIES: Fairfield's daily life during COVID-19 and shows a fragmented black and white image of a girl wearing glasses studying at home

COVID-19 has changed the way we live our daily lives. We work from home and learn from home. We wear masks and keep our distance. We find new ways to connect as businesses are closed and events cancelled. We check-in and check-out, get tested and jabbed. We miss our family and smile at a screen. We get creative and bored, exercise to stay sane. We look after each other and all try our best. These are our stories.

The Fairfield City Heritage Team is inviting residents and workers in Fairfield City to share images of how their daily lives have changed during COVID-19 for a digital collection that will help future generations understand the impact of the pandemic and how people adapted.

How to submit your files:

  1. Take a photo or find an image that you have taken in the last year that captures your daily life during COVID-19 – examples could be how you work, learn, eat, stay fit, keep informed, stay entertained and connected; or what your home, street or local area looks like
  2. Complete the form below and upload your file
  3. Your images will be archived in Fairfield City’s Heritage Collection https://heritagecollection.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/ and could be displayed on Council’s website.
