Mayor's Christmas Appeal
HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS CHRISTMAS
Fairfield City Council’s Mayor’s Christmas Appeal is on again– to help make Christmas a bit brighter for families and individuals experiencing hardship.
Christmas is a time of giving and by donating to the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal you are contributing to making Christmas a positive experience for families and individuals in need.
Donations can include non-perishable food items or new and unwrapped toys; and can be dropped off at our Bonnyrigg, Fairfield, Wetherill Park, Smithfield and Whitlam Cabramatta library branches, or at Woolworths stores in Bonnyrigg, Cabramatta, Cecil Hills, Fairfield, Fairfield Heights, Green Valley, Greystanes, Pemulwuy, Toongabbie, Wentworthville and Wetherill Park.
Council is working with non-government organisations and charities to package and distribute the donations to families and individuals in need in time for Christmas.
A kind gesture can go a long way, any donation big or small is greatly appreciated! Let's make this a memorable and meaningful Christmas for everyone.
Please make sure all donations are brand new and in excellent condition and any non-perishable food items you donate have an expiration date of January 2025 or later.
Donations are accepted from Friday 1 November to Wednesday 11 December 2024.
For the duration of the Christmas Appeal, you can return all overdue library items such as books, DVDs and magazines and not be fined! How? Instead of paying your fine, you can donate items to the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal to help make Christmas a bit brighter for families and individuals experiencing hardship. The fees will be waived regardless of whether the item is overdue by 2 days or 20 years! This applies to overdue and lost items only.
