Xena is deaf, which makes it easy to startle her. She will need a family who are willing to learn the basics in having a deaf dog and how to train one. She will need to be taught hand commands but is already learning sit! She is food motivated and also loves to play with rope toys or play in a shell pool.
Once her energy is spent with play and zoomies, she is cuddly and loves to lean on you. Xena will need a home with older kids/teenagers who are gentle and understanding to help her build her confidence. A dedicated owner who can teach her some dog social skills will be key.
