When it comes to finding the best school holiday activities this winter, Council has you covered.

Keep the kids entertained with an exciting range of activities from 4 July to 15 July 2022 at Dutton Plaza Cabramatta, Fairfield City Open Libraries branches, Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, Fairfield Youth and Community Centre and Fairfield City Leisure Centres. There is lots happening for children and young people to burn their energy, continue learning, and keep up their creativity during the school break.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone is encouraging parents and carers to take advantage of what’s on offer.

“Council is delivering a wide range of fun and interesting activities and workshops to keep children active in mind and body,” Mayor Carbone said.

“There is an activity for every child spanning Council’s libraries, leisure centres and Fairfield City Museum & Gallery. Register now to avoid disappointment.”

Registrations are essential for most activities and details can be found below. Positions may be limited so register early.

Robogals: Claw Machine

Ages: 9-12

Learn to build your own robot claw and practice basic mechanics and programming. Whose robot claw can pick up the most plastic balls in 3 minutes? Are you up for the challenge?

Wacky Science Show

Ages: 4+

Robogals: Sumo Mania

Ages: 9-12
Students construct robots, customise them to their preferences and program them to push each other out of a ring. Join group battles in this workshop and battle in the sumo ring.

Mindful Yoga Taster Sessions for Youth

Ages: 13+
Come along and experience the therapeutic benefits of yoga led by an experienced yoga instructor. Learn relaxation essentials through a combined practice of qigong, breath work and mindful movement.

Powerhouse Youth Theatre (PYT) - School Holiday Drama Day

Bunnings Holiday Craft - Celebrating NAIDOC Week

DBZ Xenoverse Tournament: PS4 Edition

Active Kids School Holiday Program

Fairfield Leisure Centre and Fairfield Youth and Community Centre

Children aged 5-12 will have a blast at the Active Kids School Holiday program held between 4-8 July and 11-15 July. Sessions run from 8am - 4pm daily and incorporate a variety of physical activities to allow children to learn new skills, make friends, improve their confidence and stay active. Prices are $55 per child, per day.

Learn to Swim Holiday Program

Private lessons and an intensive class program are available from 4-8 July and 11-15 July at Cabravale, Fairfield and Prairiewood leisure centres. Prices are $82 per week for classes and $32 per private session.
