Councillor Charbel Saliba elected as Deputy Mayor

Councillor Charbel Saliba was elected as the new Fairfield City Deputy Mayor at Tuesday night's Ordinary Meeting of Council.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone congratulated Cr Charbel Saliba on his appointment and thanked Cr Reni Barkho for his work as Deputy Mayor over the past year.

Councillor Saliba has been a Councillor since 2012, being re-elected at the 2016 and 2021 local government elections.

He is Chairperson of Council’s Services Committee and Traffic Committee and a member of Council’s Multicultural Advisory Committee and Performance Review Committee.
