Aquatopia was built for families and this season a record 75,000 people came together to enjoy the water park.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said the season ends on 28 April and encouraged families to use the Easter school holidays to experience the fun and thrills of Aquatopia.

"Council's investment in providing even more affordable family fun with the expansion of Aquatopia this year has paid dividends with more families experiencing our fantastic water park," Mayor Carbone said.

"Our high speed thrill slides and Fishpipe ride have added an extra dimension to Aquatopia, ensuring there is something for all members of the family, regardless of your age.

"We have further investment planned, with design underway for a wave pool and we are investigating non-aquatic attractions to make Aquatopia the epicentre of family fun all year round.

"Icetopia, where we convert the water park into a winter wonderland ice skating rink, will also return this July school holidays."

Late last year, Mayor Carbone handed out more than 6,000 free Aquatopia passes as a reward to Year 6 graduating primary school students.

"I hope that the first term of high school has been an exciting one. Don't forget to reward yourself with a visit to Aquatopia if you haven't already," Mayor Carbone said.

"It's fantastic that so many residents and visitors have experienced the fun of the park. I invite you to take the opportunity to visit or revisit Aquatopia these holidays."

Aquatopia is open daily during the school holidays, except on Good Friday and ANZAC Day. For more information or to book a ticket online visit www.fairfieldcityleisurecentres.com.au/aquatopia-water-park-at-prairiewood or call 9757 2433.
