Prepare your tastebuds for a flavour extravaganza at Culinary Carnival on Saturday, 1 June.

Culinary Carnival will open your senses to flavours and entertainment from right around the world in celebration of the amazing diversity of Fairfield City.

Joining the crowd-favourite asado barbecue, Spanish paella and Argentinian empanadas will be kefta and falafel rolls, Italian roasted chestnuts, arancini and exciting desserts, such as sugarcane mocktails, artisan ice pops, cakes and pastries.

For those wanting to add to their own kitchen skills, there will be Assyrian and dessert cooking demonstrations. For the children, there will be quesadilla and bruschetta cooking workshops.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said Culinary Carnival was evolving into a truly international event.

"More than 107,000 people currently living in Fairfield City were born overseas, with residents hailing from more than 104 different nations. We want Culinary Carnival to reflect our City's diversity," Mayor Carbone said.

"Wherever in Sydney you live, I invite everyone to come down to Fairfield City Centre on 1 June to experience the flavours and entertainment on offer at Culinary Carnival and discover for yourselves why Fairfield City is a great place to live, work and raise a family."

Culinary Carnival will be held at Spencer Street, Fairfield City Centre, on Saturday, 1 June from 11am-4pm.
