Assistance to First Home Buyers Scheme

First Home Byers Policy

Council is providing financial support eligible first home buyers in Fairfield City with a one-off payment to help in their quest to achieve the Australian dream of home ownership.

The scheme will provide eligible first home buyers with assistance equal to half of the amount collected for their first home by Council for local infrastructure contributions. This is expected to be between $6,000 and $10,000.

To be eligible for funding, you must:

• Receive the First Home Owner Grant (New Home) from Revenue NSW between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025 (inclusive).

• Property on which the First Home Owner Grant was issued is located within the Fairfield City Local Government Area.
